You've admired Coit Tower from afar. Now it's time to do a workout on it. 

Workout Destination: Baker Beach

If you're like most San Franciscans, you're healthy, you're active and you like the outdoors. In fact, that's probably why you live here. So in the spirit of helping you walk the walk, we've teamed with the fitness gurus over at PacWest Athletics to highlight various inspiring outdoor locations around the Bay.

So here's one at quintessential SF pretty spot: Baker Beach.

Get Out There: Our Fort Mason/Aquatic Park Workout

Richard Martinez from PacWest Athletics takes us to The Aquatic Park at Fisherman's Wharf (and up the hill to Fort Mason) for a waterfront workout. Click here to download a printable pdf.

So here we go...

NOTE: You will need a resistance band for this workout.

Begin your workout at the Aquatic Park pavilion steps. Utilize the steel rails to stretch out your calves, hamstrings, quads and upper body.

1. Sitting sideways on the concrete steps with your legs fully extended, wrap your resistance band around your feet and grab both handles for a set of Sit Down Rows.
