Jessica 6 (Hercules & Love Affair) Play 330 Ritch Tonight

Hercules & Love Affair was last year's soundtrack to runway shows, stores like Zara and anything that needed good disco pop infusing. The group has now distilled themselves into Jessica 6, fronted by the ever-captivating (and yes, tranny) H&LA singer/songerwriter Nomi Ruiz with Andrew Raposo on bass and Morgan Wiley on keyboards. Their sound's a bit darker and soulful (Check their Fun Girls EP here) than H&LA. They're playing tonight at 330 Ritch, so get out there and moodily dance away the rain.

Check out Nomi Ruiz in action at last year's YBCA's Artists Ball.
