Meet Jenny Bronstein, a Bay Area native turned sun-loving Santa Monica gal. After meeting her last week in the Marina, we're now inspired to smile bigger, laugh louder and be more fabulous. The busy corporate event planner, may have settled down the coast, but she's still a Bay Area girl at heart and always makes time for (shopping-filled) SF getaways.
SF Street Style: Local Jewelry Designers Spotted in Simple Pieces + Great Shoes at New Berkeley Boutique, Viv&Ingrid at Oxford Hall
Jewelry designers, Vivian Wang and Ingrid Chen, of Viv&Ingrid, were rocking some killer flats at a launch party last week for their new Berkeley gift shop, Viv&Ingrid at Oxford Hall. The darling boutique is full of dreamy, whimsical decor and full of pretty, witty little things -- just as every great gift shop should be.
Now, designer are typically known for dressing very casually and Viv&Ingrid were no exception. They did however, step up their shoe game -- love! I really like the detailing on both pairs of flats -- the rhinestone cut-outs on the Vivian's yellow flats, and the asymmetrical line and d'Orsay cut on Ingrid's black pointies.
Last week at the Ferry Building, I spotted Sophie and Kelley Hoang -- sisters with two very different styles. Sophie, who was in town from Huntington Beach, had a very LA, beachy-hip look going, while her Kelley was more appropriately dressed for the ever unpredicatble weather we're blessed with in SF.

Chances are, you already have loads of red, white and blue in your wardrobe -- just be careful not to look like a walking flag this Monday. Instead, try mixing textures and adding neutral colors to create a more modern Independence Day outfit.
Ah, the skinny jean: beloved by many, feared by some, debated by stylists and threatened briefly by the high-rise, wide-leg blip on the fashion radar. We dare say the once-trendy denim silhouette has graduated into a staple shape in our wardrobes over the last half-decade.
Sure, no one company can exclusively lay claim to originating the skinny, but J Brand does take credit for its return. Since launching at L.A.’s Ron Herman boutique in 2005, the premium denim company has won fans for its straight and narrow leg styles and starkly plain pockets on dark jeans at a time when embellished versions seemed to be at an all-time high.
We've spent all week daydreaming about an exotic Riviera getaway, but then reality hit, and we realized St. Tropez is still just a fantasy. Lucky for us, we have an alternative to the sun-soaked Mediterranean right in our backyard: a day of sailing on the Bay. So take advantage of the warm weather this weekend and head to the Wharf for a leisurely day on the water. Even though no experience is necessary, you can still look like a sailing pro in this week's look:
