Lovely Bones: Jules Kim of Bijules Hits SF

If you have a bone to pick with Jules Kim, the New York-based accessories designer more likely than not will happily oblige. That’s because the latest from Kim’s Bijules collection, beloved by no-last-name-needed celebrities from Beyonce to Kelis and Lady Gaga to Rihanna, is actually made using the tiny bones of animals collected during the designer’s escape-from-the-city adventure earlier this year to a friend’s 3,000-acre ranch outside Calistoga, Calif.

'Tis the Season of Sold-Out Shows: Edward Sharpe & Gaga

'Tis the weekend of hyped-up, sold out shows. Lady Gaga's Monster Ball is blowing through town (check out our Look of the Week to get prepped for that extravaganza) and Saturday's Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes GAMH show has been inspiring some pretty creative Craigslist pleas for tickets. We're a big fan of Edward Sharpe in the 7x7 offices (we play "Home" in an attempt to alleviate the chill situation) and are excited to see this band grace many of the year's best of lists.

Look of the Week: Gaga!

It's no secret that we can't get enough of Lady Gaga's over-the-top ensembles, so we were beyond thrilled to find out that her Monster Ball tour is coming to our fair city this weekend. If you're amongst the lucky ones who snagged tickets before they inevitably sold out, congratualations, this look is for you. But if you, like us, procrastinated and will instead be dancing around your room with a homemade disco stick to "Bad Romance" (which by the way, is impossible to get out of your head), you can still take inspiration from the Gaga herself for a night on the town with this week's look:

Channel Lady Gaga at ZaZa Today

Add some flare to your manicure just in time for the holidays at the Minx Nails Kickoff Party this evening. After sweeping through Hollywood on the nails of Miss Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Beyonce and Victoria Beckham, these heat-activated nail decals are now available in SF exclusively at ZaZa Nail Spa.

Make an appointment for Friday between 5-8 p.m. and get half off Minx applications with the founders on hand to chat about what makes their product so buzzworthy. Oh, and did we mention there will be complimentary cockails and snacks courtesy of ZaZa's neighbor Nova Bar?

We'll see you there.

Look of the Week: Halloween Costumes On The Fly

Year after year, despite making a mental note to think of a Halloween costume in advance, it always comes down to frantically throwing together an ensemble in the final week before the big day. But that doesn't mean you can't still come up with something brilliant (and stylish!) without having to fight the last-minute costume shop masses. With that, we leave you with 5 ideas that you can (mostly) piece together from your closet:

1. Lady Gaga: Yes, everyone and their sister will probably be Lady Gaga for Halloween, but we were particularly inspired by this look she was rocking on a rainy day in Paris. And hey, it's a great excuse to forget your pants for a night. Top off with a pair of nude heels and you're ready to rock.

Speaking of fragrance, Cadillac—yes, the automaker—enters the market with a new scent for men. But don’t worry boys, you won’t smell like new car with this signature blend of chamomile, geranium, tarragon, cinnamon and grapefruit. Isn’t it nice to see the economic stimulus plan put to such good use? Stylecaster reports.
