Seven Favorite Things: Dresses from Bastille

The Union Square boutique, Bastille, is known for their selection of high quality basics. When it comes to their women's wear, that means super wearable dresses that easily shift from day to night. Featuring go-to dress designers like Acne and DVF, here are seven summery frocks to add to your want list.

Look of the Week: Fall LBDs With Drama in the Back

We love these seemingly simple (in the front) little black dresses–especially with their clever, excellent designs (in the back).

If you're looking for a hot event to wear one of these stunning pieces to, check out Signature Black, an all black attire affair at Infusion Lounge, this Saturday.

Look of the Week: Edwardian Ball 2011

We want you to be belle of the ball, the Edwardian Ball that is. Stroll down to the Regency Ballroom this Friday for the Edwardian World's Faire, and Saturday for the 11th Annual Edwardian Ball, one of SF's most lavish costume parties.

Edwardian fashion is all about prim, high collars, ruffly frocks with oversized sleeves, elaborate hats with cascading plumes, and a whole lot of lace. Now, let's one, two step, and remix that a bit for 2011.

Look of the Week: CFDA Edition

Seeing as this past Monday was the Oscars of the fashion industry, we decided to salute the CFDA (that's the Council of Fashion Designers of America for those who always or never wondered) Awards by featuring three of this year's winners: Calvin Klein, SF native Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler. And what better way to do so than by showing the designers' take on the ultimate wardrobe essential, the Little Black Dress, at three different price points? While we're always on the search for the elusive perfect black dress to add to our collection, we might not have a few grand to throw down on a dress at the moment (or ever), but hey, a girl can dream can't she?
