Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
On September 22, hundreds of partiers boarded the beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon—the $7 million dollar, 4.5 story flagship vessel of the Commodore Fleet—for Decks on Deck, a sold-out benefit supporting the Patrick Landers Foundation and the San Francisco Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Guests cruised the Bay while enjoying a bevy of bites and beverages, and rocked to to a surprise DJ set with Thievery Corporation featuring Rob Garza. The vessel even passed by McCovey Cove so guests could shout out support for our San Francisco Giants battling the Padres.
Several weeks ago, we presented the esteemed candidates in the friendly race to become the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's 2011 Man of the Year & Woman of the Year winners. Now it's time for the winner to be unveiled in the competition's epic Grand Finale Gala, taking place this Saturday, June 4. It's a chance for friends of the organization to party for a night in support of a great cause.

Join us at the first-ever annual Decks on Deck party aboard the Cabernet Sauvignon–a swanky, $7 million 125-foot yacht–benefitting the SF chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphona Society on May 20th. This yacht party, full of civic-minded SF citizens and philanthropists, singles out help for and supports one individual per year who is battling a form of leukemia or lymphoma.
On March 25th, the Greater San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society launched this year's search for the Man and Woman of the Year with a lively celebration at Harry Denton's Starlight Room. The candidates were all smiles as they mingled with special guests of honor -- Boy of the Year Adam Joseph Boegel, and Girl of the Year Stella Jade -- both of whom are brave blood cancer survivors.
The annual competition -- now in its 20th year -- involves truly compassionate local men and women who work to raise funds to support thousands of patients battling leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
