Three Romantic San Francisco Bike Rides

Happy almost Valentine’s Day, lovers. Last night was Love on Wheels, the dating game for bicycle lovers. There were so many bike/sex innuendoes that I was glad for today’s rainy commute to wash me clean. Just kidding, I’m totally going to use some of those lines on my sweetie.

Forget online dating, try looking for love the old fashioned way: In a panel of three people vying for a date with the same sweetie. Pioneered in the 70s with The Dating Game and continuing on in reality TV, it’s a tried and true way of finding love—or at least drama.

Two Sense: Is My Friend Gay?

I have a close, longtime male friend who has always been extremely secretive about his sexual identity. Most of our common acquaintances assume he's gay, and whenever I've tried to broach the issue directly, he seems to sense what I want to ask in advance, changing the topic before I can even ask. I don't really care one way or the other (I'm a straight male), but more than a decade later, not knowing feels like an uncomfortable gap in our friendship, which is otherwise a good one. It's also sometimes hard to ignore what others say about him, which is mostly idle gossip. Should I just resign myself to never knowing, or would it help our friendship to push harder for him to talk about it openly?

Gay and Single? Feeling a Tingle to Mingle?

Fellas, this Friday night ain't another day at the rodeo: Mark Rhoades is staging "Cupid's Back," his yearly Valentine's Day Party, full of high-end antics for us hopeful romantics, all in the heart of the Castro!

And besides wigs and button-flys, if there's anything else we know how to pull off, it's a theme: so please come dressed in shades of pink or red. Are you single and looking to share your rosy outlook? Your name will go on a red heart pinned to your shirt. Couples get pink hearts. And everyone gets to enjoy the open bar featuring vodka and tequila delights!

Scenes of the City: Love in San Francisco

A couple enjoys the view from Twin Peaks.

In this week's edition of Scenes of the City, we're celebrating Valentine's Day with some appropriately lovey images. While 7x7 did not ask each and every one of these people if they were "in love" (which might have gotten awkward) they all appear to be sharing a moment with a special someone or two.

Why Is My Girlfriend So Jealous? (DUH!)

My girlfriend and I have been dating on and off for over two years. In the beginning, one thing keeping our relationship stagnant was the fact that I thought I had romantic feelings toward one of my closest female friends of five years, and had admitted this to my girlfriend. When I realized I did not have these feelings for the friend, I was ecstatic and fully committed to my girlfriend. The last eight months have been some of the greatest of my life—that is, except when this friend and I try to make plans to see one another. My girlfriend becomes abrasive and questions everything about the interaction, claiming it's a "date." She calls and texts constantly, and I have even caught her reading texts to my friend behind my back.
