SF Street Style: Local Jewelry Designers Spotted in Simple Pieces + Great Shoes at New Berkeley Boutique, Viv&Ingrid at Oxford Hall

Jewelry designers, Vivian Wang and Ingrid Chen, of Viv&Ingrid, were rocking some killer flats at a launch party last week for their new Berkeley gift shop, Viv&Ingrid at Oxford Hall. The darling boutique is full of dreamy, whimsical decor and full of pretty, witty little things -- just as every great gift shop should be.

Now, designer are typically known for dressing very casually and Viv&Ingrid were no exception. They did however, step up their shoe game -- love! I really like the detailing on both pairs of flats -- the rhinestone cut-outs on the Vivian's yellow flats, and the asymmetrical line and d'Orsay cut on Ingrid's black pointies.

Since launching in 2002, the non-profit organization has donated some 9,000 dresses to local high school girls who would not otherwise have been able to afford formal dresses for their proms.

The Marc Jacobs store on Fillmore makes no secret about what it thinks about the Republican ticket.  The window display features a bikini and fur clad Sarah Palin wielding an automatic rifle, George Bush with a fuzzy pink cowboy hat and John McCain draped in dollar signs.  The sign below reads "One Heartbeat Away" and rattles off some of Palin's core beliefs.  Ouch.  The Fillmore store's been known for its overt messages (a 2006 installation featured the words WORST PRESIDENT EVER spanning across the store's windows), which are apparently ordered up by the
