SF Ford Grand Opening benefiting the Art of Elysium

On Saturday, June 14, the new San Francisco Ford opened its doors to host a special evening benefiting the Art of Elysium, a non-profit organization bringing creative projects to children who are battling serious medical conditions. The evening included the unveiling of Ford’s newest cars, a variety of performances, amazing auction pieces by S.H. Silver Company, and special appearances by Art of Elysium supporters–Amy Smart and Dave Annabelle.

On Friday, June 13, guests enjoyed 7x7's picks for the Best of San Francisco at a lavish party held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Union Square. Partygoers were treated to nibbles, cocktails and services featured in the Best of issue as well as music courtesy of Dj Oro and Disco Shawn of hip club night Tormenta Tropical.

Trinity Plaza Groundbreaking Ceremony

On Wednesday, May 21 a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the Trinity Properties to commemorate the official beginning of construction of the highly anticipated Trinity Plaza. Mayor Gavin Newsome, Arquitectonica architect Bernardo Fort-Brescia and Trinity Properties owner Angelo Sangiacomo were on hand to officiate the ceremony.

Pre-opening Donor Party at the Contemporary Jewish Museum

To kick off a series of grand opening parties, the new Contemporary Jewish Museum threw a party on Wednesday, May 21 honoring the museum’s lead donors. The event, which was sponsored by Hermès, allowed guests a first-hand look at the Daniel Libeskind-designed building as well as the current exhibits.

On May 14th, Vanessa Getty and Melanie Ellison hosted a fabulous sale of Vintage and Designer clothing to benefit the San Francisco Bay Humane Friends and the Peninsula Humane Society. Clothing was donated from the closets of some of San Francisco, LA, and New York’s most stylish women along with many top fashion houses, such as Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, Judith Leiber, Oscar de la Renta, and Riser Goodwyn.

Wilkes Bashford’s 75th Birthday Bash

On Tuesday, May 13 founder of the upscale department store Wilkes Bashford celebrated his 75th birthday among 74 of his closest friends and admirers. The black-tie birthday soiree was held at the Museum of African Diaspora and featured nibbles courtesy of 1300 on Fillmore.

Chef Todd English Celebrates Slow Food at Macy’s

On Thursday, May 8 renowned chef Todd English celebrated the Slow Food movement with a hands-on cooking demonstration at the Macy’s Union Square Cellar. The evening event featured a sampling of food and wine that will be showcased at the Slow Food Nation celebration taking place over Labor Day weekend.
