Wired at W Hotels

W Hotels and WIRED magazine hosted a W Happenings shindig last week to celebrate the debut of the first temporary pop-up WIRED Store Kiosk at W San Francisco. W Hotels in Los Angeles, Silicon Valley and San Diego also have these installments, carrying WIRED's top technology picks for the holiday season and all of which will stay open for 10 days.

Hotel Kabuki Opening

To celebrate the launch of the newly refurbished Hotel Kubuki in Japantown, hotelier Joie De Vivre threw a lavish Japanese-inspired gathering on Thursday, November 15. Guests were treated to an array of samplings from the boutique hotel’s brand new adjoining restaurant O Izakaya Lounge.

Lotus Vodka Party at W Hotel

Lotus Vodka and Virgin America Airlines hosted a night of high-flying art and cocktails at the W Hotel on on November 15.  The flying themed event featured art from former Jefferson Airplane frontwoman Grace Slick and Blue Lotus caffeinated vodka cocktails.

<em>Vanity Fair</em> and Ann Getty Host Party for Bob Colacello’s <em>Out</em>

To celebrate famed journalist and author Bob Colacello’s latest book Out based on his former column which documented the glamorous life of disco and decadence of the late ’70s Vanity Fair along with Ann Getty, Denise Hale and Jo Schuman threw a party at the Ralph Lauren store on Wednesday, November 7.

Hellenic Ball

The Elios Society held its annual Hellenic Charity Ball at The Fairmont. This year’s honorees included five award-winning Greek-Americans from the entertainment industry: Michael Constantine, Olympia Dukakis, Sid Ganis, Tony Orlando and Anne Thomopoulos.

Hellenic Ball Pre-Party

The Elios Society threw a pre-party for its biennial Hellenic Ball (a black-tie celebration of Greek American culture and tribute to nationally reowned Greek-American personalities) at Kokkari. Among the honorees were actress Olympia Dukakis and singer Tony Orlando.

Dr. Matarasso's "Seeing Is Believing" Party

Dr. Seth Matarasso—Botox and Restylane specialist to the stars as well as models, socialites and everyone in between—had a big birthday bash at Vessel. The "Seeing is Believing" party brought out more than 250 folks including Robin Williams, Vanessa Getty, Kamala Harris, Willie Brown, Paul Pelosi and Rita Moreno.
