Every year, as the holidays approach, we take some time to acknowledge the many local nonprofits that bestow varied gifts upon our community. Now in it's sixth year, San Francisco's Favorite Charity Contest, presented by PG&E and 7x7, asks you, our readers, to tell us which Bay Area do-gooders make this a better place to live. 7x7 and Pacific Gas & Electric honored the finalists of our annual search for San Francisco's Favorite Charities in the beautifully remodeled Biada Lounge of Sens Restaurant overlooking the Embarcadero.

The holiday season got significantly warmer on December 12th, when 7x7 and PG&E culminated the second annual search for San Francisco's most beloved nonprofit organizations with a lovely reception at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Cupid's Back: The Fifth Annual Valentine's Day Party

On February 11, LGBT leader Mark Rhoades and sponsor PG&E hosted a sweet and sexy affair in the heart of the Castro to benefit the GLBT Historical Society, which houses and preserves gay and lesbian history right here in San Francisco. More than 300 singles mixed and mingled at Trigger, enjoying cocktails with Ketel One vodka and Don Julio tequila, Stella Artois beer, and desserts by Scala's Bistro.

PG&E's VIP Pride Party 2010

On June 24, LGBT leaders Mark Rhoades and Brandon Hernandez hosted an amazing Pride 2010 kick-off event at the Clift Hotel's stylish Redwood Room and Velvet Room! The event not only benefited New Leaf Services, but also served as a "thank you" to the many men and women who give their time and resources to the LGBT community all year long. Attendees were a veritable roll call of San Francisco's LGBT leaders, and participating sponsors included Ketel One, Don Julio, Stella Artois, Epi Center MedSpa, Al Smyth events, and Blueprint Studios.
