Despite the city’s signature chill, spring was in the air on Tuesday evening when 7x7 editors arrived at Market Street’s Digital Garage to meet fashion designer Maria Pinto, whose weeklong pop-up shop for her M2057 line has injected the space next door to Super Duper Burger with a super dose of individualist chic.
Whether it’s a sign of a rebounding economy or happy coincidence, one thing’s for certain: new shopping destinations having been popping up left and right of late. From a weekend-only shop in Hayes Valley to a Mission location specializing in urban backpacks, here are five new spots for local retail therapy:
DNA (designers 'n artists) are setting up shop this Friday in Space Gallery to offer you deep discounts on fashionable finds from the likes of Catherine Fulmer, Pretty Little Thing NYC and Alyssa Bird for everyone (yes, men too!) on your holiday list. Throw free entry, happy hour specials from 5-7 p.m. and a live set from DJ Brainchild into the mix, and we think it's safe to say it'll be the most fun you've had spending money on other people.
