The Royal Wedding
Earlier today, there was a frenzy surrounding reports from SFist, Bay Citizen and CBS that the royal newlyweds are planning a trip California–Kate Middleton's first-ever voyage to America–in July. We thought we were immune to the hype until we happened upon William and Kate themselves posing (rather stiffly) for photos on this gorgeous spring day at the cable car turnaround, just blocks away from 7x7 HQ. Luckily we had a camera on us!
Can you feel the love tonight? If not, you should, because The Royal Wedding is fast approaching. In honor of the festivities, we're publishing King's Ginger and No. 3 Gin cocktail recipes by local bartenders that would be fit to serve at a royal event. Berry Bros. & Rudd, the makers of The King's Ginger and No.3, have been supplying the British Royal Family with spirits since 1760 during the reign of King George III.
This week, we turn to the expertise of James Goad, head bartender at Slow Club. He's whipped up two royal wedding drinks -- The King's Road and The Monarch. Head over to Slow Club to try them out or make them on your own at home.
