We got word of a new designer in town, a.anthony designs by Anna Anthony, and immediately fell in love with her Spring/Summer 2012 lookbook (photographed locally in the Presidio and at the Lyon St. Steps).

After launching a.anthony designs a year ago in Minneapolis, Anthony and her husband relocated to SF last October, with all eyes forward. "San Francisco is such a great market to be in, as the fashion here is a culmination of many different influences from all over the globe," she said.

Look of the Week: Local Love

With a weekend chock full of local fashion happenings kicking off today, it seemed only appropriate to look to SF designers and boutiques for the perfect outfit to wear for some serious summer shopping.

To achieve a polished yet comfortable look, we opted for an easy chic floral shirtdress topped off with bold cat-eye sunnies, edgy earrings, cutout oxfords and, of course, a tote to carry all your finds.

Thursday marks the start of our absolute favorite time of year for emerging San Francisco style: student fashion show season.

And to kick things off on a well-heeled foot, SF State University Apparel Design and Merchandising students are joining forces with the Fashion Network Association and Wee Scotty to showcase their collections at Runway 2010 Nouvelle.
