Look of the Week: Men's Summer Travel Essentials

Look of the Week: Men's Summer Travel Essentials

We're guessing you already have the bag, sunglasses, gadgets, and destination. Here's what else you'll need.

Neiman Previews Spring Trunk Shows for YSL, Gucci and Oscar

Rainy days seem to have left SF with the holidays, and we couldn't be happier. In fact, we're already dreaming of lush Spring wardrobes and luckily, Neiman Marcus is here to help.

All month, Neiman is previewing spring trunk shows from Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Oscar de la Renta. Here's the breakdown:

Look of the Week: New Year's Eve

Though we're not quite through the Christmas chaos just yet, New Year's Eve is glimmering on the horizon and all this last minute scrambling for gifts left sparkly dresses for ourselves on the back burner.

Well, that's all about to change. The presents are wrapped, cookies are baked and we need something dazzling (but still affordable) to wear when the ball drops.

We hit the stores once more and found just the thing - a chic sequin dress paired with a cropped tux jacket, edgy accessories and suede stilettos to ensure you'll kick off 2011 on a well-heeled foot.

Look of the Week: Local Love

Assuming you're anything like us, you're still trying to track down the perfect gifts for everyone on your list. Luckily, there's no better time to shop local to score unique finds from neighborhood shops and this weekend's holiday edition of Renegade Craft Fair.

Bonus: you won't have to worry about paying for overnight shipping to ensure it arrives on time (leaving you more time to procrastinate).

So in anticipation of our indie shopping extravaganza, we've put together a weather-friendly look highlighting local designers and boutiques:

Look of the Week: Night at the Nutcracker

Chances are, you're dying to go to the ballet after seeing Natalie Portman's staggering performance in Black Swan. If you haven't already seen Aronofsky's latest flick, go see it immediately and then get back to this post.

Look of the Week: Your Office Holiday Party

Though you'd like to think you've mastered the art of cocktail dressing (and drinking) over the years, one annual event continues to leave you stumped: the office holiday party.

Well, you're not alone.

What's The Deal: ARTWEAR, Bridge & Burn, Conifer + More

Because Black Friday is for procrastinators...

ARTWEAR in the Galleries: Knock out gifts for your artistic friends as four downtown galleries open their doors Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. for this feel-good shopping event that features jewelry, clothing and accessories from 24 artisans with all proceeds benefiting ArtCare.

Conifer: Take 30% off pretty pieces from Steven Alan, Built by Wendy, Lauren Moffatt and more at the Cow Hollow shop's Pre-Holiday Sale.

Look of the Week: Thanksgiving Feast

So here's the scenario: your boyfriend invited you to spend Thanksgiving with his family, and you're slightly panicked. Not only is it the first time you're meeting the whole fam (yes, even his crazy uncle), but you've gotten used to having a casual potluck with friends to celebrate the national day of overeating.

Party Hop With The Fashion Pack: Tiffany & Co., gr.dano, Thread + More

One glance at our calendar made something very clear, there's much too much happening this week to keep it all to ourselves. So strap on your walking heels and get ready for some serious holiday shopping:

Tiffany & Co. Leather Collection Open House, Tues. from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., 350 Post St., Free: Hurry down to Tiffany's this morning for the chance to meet leather gurus Richard Lambertson and John Truex and check out their new leather collection for the iconic label.

Look of the Week: Ice Skating

Though it seems like yesterday we were chasing after Indian Summer, all the telltale signs would say otherwise – the air is refreshingly brisk, the sunlight is fleeting and your TV won't stop trying to sell you toys and diamonds.

Yep, the holidays are officially here and what better way to kick off the season than with some good old-fashioned ice skating.

While it may seem a bit odd practicing your pivot in 60° weather, at least that means we can skip the long underwear and opt for something a bit more Aprés-Skate, if you will.

So grab your hot toddy-filled thermos and hit the ice:
