Earth Day may have come and gone, but South Lake Tahoe is still celebrating on Saturday, April 28, when the annual help-the-planet party sets up camp from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Bijou Community Park.
Snowcial, a gabfest that combines social media and outdoor winter recreation, makes its annual appearance in South Lake Tahoe in mid-January.
There are many ways to ring in the new year, and the resorts and lodges around year-round party central (Lake Tahoe) have just about most of them covered.
Though the weather outside is frightful – it’s not snowing and the prospects for any significant snowfall in the immediate future are grim – the Lake Tahoe area is still a delightful place to visit during the year-end holiday season.
