Playtime in Reno: Where to Climb, Bike, and Shop in the City

Whitney Peak Reno

Playing in Reno used to mean hitting some of the gaming tables or pulling a few slot handles, but now, hanging out in the Biggest Little City can mean jumping on giant trampolines, hunting for vintage clothing, and braving the world’s tallest climbing wall while dangling over the Reno Arch. Here's where to climb, bike, and shop on your next trip to Nevada.

Homme, Part Millinery, Part Antique Shop Open in Russian Hill

We love a classic combo (peanut butter and chocolate, heels and a black dress, etc) but there's something to be said for unexpected duos, as well. Take Homme for example, the new boutique recently opened in Russian Hill. Part millinery, part antique shop, it's not a pair you'd think to find together... and yet it somehow works. Must be since owner Michelle Homme is equally versed in both sides of the business–she is both an interior designer and hat maker, after all.

Monument's on the Move in the Mission

It's been a few weeks since we last made our way over to the Mish, so if this news hits you a little late, our apologies. However if you're like us and haven't been to the neighborhood in a bit, you might be surprised to find that Mid-Century Modern furniture boutique Monument is no longer occupying the storefront at 572 Valencia Street. Not to fear, they've just moved a stone's throw away to a new, much larger space literally right across the street at 573 Valencia (former location of Architectural Elements).
