This Week in Fashion: Chanel Lovers at Simply Chic, Public Bikes' 1 Year Party, Banana Republic and Trina Turk Fashion Show, Styling the Modern Man + More
1. Public Bikes' One Year Anniversary at Public HQ & Store (123 South Park), Saturday July 9, 11am-3pm.
Block party it up this Saturday -- biker style -- at Public's One Year Anniversary. Meet the folks behind the cutest bikes around, enjoy free food (American Grilled Cheese Kitchen), a photo contest, loads of amazing discounts on merchandise and much, much more.
The Junior League of San Francisco celebrates its centennial anniversary this year with their 85th Annual Fashion Show: A Fashionable Legacy. Both the luncheon and dinner shows, will be held this Friday at the Fairmont Hotel.
Each year the show features members of the JLSF, their hubbies and their children as models in the elaborate runway show. Model trainer, Charleston Pierce, is back on the scene this year, to help these charitable ladies get officially runway ready. (We're guessing the new models just happen to be catching up on America's Next Top Model, too.)
Best known for her bright and bold Southern California style, designer Trina Turk has watched as her company has grown over the last 15 years from a business run out of her home to household name that includes women’s apparel, swimwear, home accessories, handbags and – most recently – a jewelry line.
If the slow-coming warm weather has you dreaming of Palm Springs sun, a dose of color via Trina Turk's fabric might work just as well as a plane ticket. The designer's new line of indoor/outdoor prints from Schumacher evoke modern Southern California with each bright, crisp pattern. We say a chair or some pillows in Turk's fabric would certainly help banish any lingering chills in the air.
