A few weeks back, 7x7 asked you to vote for your favorite place to enjoy a cold summertime Trumer Pils in San Francisco. The grand prize —which included a private tour of Trumer Brauerei Berkeley, followed by a private dinner prepared by Oakland's Tribune Tavern—was claimed by lucky devil Peter Norman!
On Saturday, August 18, Reason to Party hosted the Summer of Love Gala at the St. Regis hotel. The gorgeous and generous crowd sipped on tasty cocktails complimentary of Karlsson's Vodka, icy cold Trumer Pils beer, and cool clear Mavea Water while enjoying the beautiful St. Regis ballroom decorated by Entire Productions.
The event raised awareness for Larkin Street Youth Services, a neighborhood program helping the most vulnerable youth—homeless and runaway ages 12-24—in the Tenderloin and Polk Gulch areas of San Francisco.
7x7's gastronistas aimed straight at the heart of San Francisco's food scene to anoint chef Arthur Wall—of the Mission's pioneering neighborhood bistro Garcon—as the winner of our 2011 "Your City, Your Chef" contest!
As San Francisco's status as one of the world's most vibrant culinary centers continues to thrill—with its head-to-tail feasts, two- and four-wheeled entrepreneurs, and molecularly gastronomic foams—it seems fitting that 7x7's readers and web users determined that the City's next bright talent would be found situated in the center of its most vibrant, diverse and celebrated dining destination.
