A walnut tree played a supporting (and dramatic) role on June 13 in Calistoga at the outdoor wedding of Sophie Middlebrook and Boe Hayward.

“Meet Us Under the Walnut Tree” trumpeted the couple’s stylish and very creative save-the-date card which arrived in a box with a real walnut.

San Francisco native Amanda Michael wed East Coast-transplant Michael Harrington on May 9 amid the first blossoms of spring (accented by lanterns the couple purchased on a previous trip to Vietnam) in the garden of their recently renovated San Francisco home.

The mostly-Buddhist ceremony was officiated by Roslyn Whitney; Amanda’s children, Gus and Jane, served as the wedding attendants.

Serafina Margaret Palandech and Jennifer Elizabeth Johnson were married Saturday, May 30th at Dawn’s Ranch in Sonoma County, California.

The bride, Serafina, 35, is the event manager at Edgewood Center for Children and Families. Previously, she was event director for San Francisco AIDS Walk. She graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz.
