Hot Tubs Plus Dinner at Tahoe's Nepheles

Hot Tubs Plus Dinner at Tahoe's Nepheles

By

It's starting to get cold up at the lake and while there are various ways to stay warm up in the mountains, one of the most unusual might be the private rental hot tubs at Nepheles restaurant in South Lake Tahoe. Yes, you can plan your dinner around a romantic hot tub for two, or three, or four. Each of the tubs come with cocktail service or you can bring your own wine and Nepheles will add the corkage fee. This is especially nice if your hotel does not have a hot tub.

Each private tub is surrounded by walls and stained glass windows, but open to the sky, so you are exposed to the snow and fresh air. The hourly rate is $20 for two people and $7.50 for each additional person. Reservations are recommended, but Nepheles can sometimes accommodate last minute requests. Shower facilities and towels are provided and music is piped into each tub area.

Nepheles, named after the Greek goddess of epicurean delights has been serving the Tahoe area since 1977 and their award winning wine list features California vineyards to go along with the daily California cuisine. Appetizers and entrees include items like Escargot Nephele, Guacamole–Goat Cheese Toasts, Broiled New Zealand Rack of Lamb Saltimboca and Italian Herb Marinated Shrimp.
