Tahoe's WinterFest Gay and Lesbian Ski Week in March

Some of the friendliest skiers from around the country will be heading to the Sierras for the Lake Tahoe WinterFest Gay and Lesbian Ski Week to be held March 2-9 at the Aston Lakeland Village resort and the several South Shore and North Shore locations. Both skiers and non-skiers are welcome during this event that will feature casino fun, private parties on the Tahoe Queen and the Gay Comedy Night headlined by comedian Bruce Vilanch.

The event will kick off with the opening night reception at the Lakeland Village with a complimentary cocktail party. The next few days will include meals, shuttle rides to Heavenly or Northstar and apres ski parties like the Barefoot Wine Reception, Tropical Hump Night Mixer, Chocolate Martini Night and a Dinner and DJ Dance Cruize on the Tahoe Queen. The comedy night with Emmy Award winning Bruce Vilanch will be Friday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m. This event also includes dinner at Tep's Villa Roma.

Tickets can be purchased for the entire event ($225 for the VIP Diamond Party Pass) which includes the WinterFest registration and gift bag, discounted daily lift tickets, the receptions and parties, the cruise and comedy night and the Tep's dinner. Individual tickets can be purchased for all the events. Discounted accommodations at the host hotel, the Lakeland Village, are also available. The 19-acre beachfront resort has a heated outdoor pool, two hot tubs, sauna and private complimentary shuttles to various ski resorts. All the rooms include a full kitchen, fireplace and continental breakfast. Their rates for WinterFest guest will be honored from February 27 - March 12, 2014. Discounted rooms will also be available at Harrah's Tahoe and Harvey's.
