It's science on the fly. The Un-scripted Theater Company will make the Academdy its stage on January 14 for a special nightlife improv performance. Taking cues from the museum's exhibits, the troupe will craft a one-of-a-kind show based on the natural world. You're also in for music by accomplished DJ and producer Michael Anthony, of Supperclub fame, accompanied by a guitar and saxophone.

Monster Dance Performance

The Contemporary Jewish Museum is pleased to present its inaugural dance performance in its now iconic “Yud” gallery with a presentation of Rebecca Pappas’ evening-length work Monster, presented as part of Nextbook's Jewish Body Festival. Since the new building opened in June of 2008, the Yud gallery, designed for sound installation and performance, has become a highly sought-after performance space, combining Daniel Libeskind’s soaring architecture with state-of-the-art audio technology.

Hosted by local author extraordinaire Stephen Elliott, this month's Rumpus at the Make-Out Room features special guest and air guitar champion Dan Crane, along with comedy by Will Durst and music by The Yellow Dress.
