1969 was a monumental year—first moon landing, Woodstock and the birth of Kiehl's iconic lip balm #1. Celebrate the product's anniversary by stopping by your nearest store and purchasing the special commemorative package—six tubes (the original, plus each scent) for $32. The first 25 patrons to buy will receive a complimentary tube of #1. Refreshments included.

We love any beauty product that does double duty, so we were immediately sucked in when we heard Pangea Organics offered a face mask that would not only spruce up our skin, but also arrives in plantable packaging that grows into Genovese Sweet Basil.

SF's Master of Up 'Dos

(blog)
It’s high season for cultural events around town, and that means hair stylists skilled in special-occasion hair are in serious demand. I recently went looking for an expert who could pull off the quick-fire task of giving me some innovative up ‘dos—spurred by a recent flurry of post-work weeknight galas. Here are a couple of gorgeous styles whipped up by Cinta Salon’s Ernie Meneses, a Tinseltown-native and recent SF transplant, who has been in the hair biz for more than eight years.

I’m not usually one to promote shelling out the big bucks on mascara. With the huge range of options available at the drugstore (not to mention the tiny amount of product you actually get), you can pretty much find what you need at a quarter of the department store prices.
