Just stop by Suzanne George's shop in Noe Valley, where the London School of Fashion-trained George measures every client for a custom last (a wooden replica of your foot) in order to handcraft gorgeously stitched and hammered works of art. Don't be surprised if you spot a pile of orthopedic oxfords or worn-out boots—George also specializes in cobbling and designing comfortable kicks for problem feet.
