March 2, 2008, 1 p.m. With the sun blazing overhead—a divine occurrence, timed as it was to the earliest intimation of spring—Dolores Park was in the throes of one of its Garden of Eden days. And so it was something of an embarrassment of hipster riches when, like the pied piper of under-the-radar bands, French director Vincent Moon appeared on the scene. Video camera in hand, Moon (whose real name is Mathieu Saura) was trailing local indie-rock outfit Sholi for one of his trademark "take-away shows."
