The 3rd Annual Edgewood Hope Ball

The Edgewood Hope Ball raises crucial funding to support more than 5,000 of the San Francisco Bay Area's children and families, who struggle with issues of abuse, neglect, and crisis. The gala will feature silent and live auctions, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing to the phenomenally popular band “Pride & Joy”. This year, we honor long-time supporter and advocate, U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein.

Baccarat threw a reception honoring the founding members of The San Francisco Zoological Society Auxiliary, President Mindy Henderson and the Steering Committee for the upcoming Iced Dreams 2008 on September 17th.

On Wednesday, August 6, guests attended a preview party for the fourth annual This Old Bag fundraiser auction benefiting the city’s Breast Cancer Emergency Fund. Celebrity and designer purses were on display in the Spanish Suite at the Clift hotel during this event hosted by Bella Farrow and Hilary Newsom Callan. Guests sampled appetizers provided by the Clift, specialty cupcakes from That Takes the Cake and beverages from J Vineyards and Pearl Vodka while perusing handbags autographed by such stars as Sharon Stone and Renee Fleming.
Guests enjoyed an evening of cocktails and shopping at the Academy of Friends 2008-2009 season kickoff on Thursday, August 7. The event, hosted by Emporio Armani at their Union Square location, helped raise money for AIDS organizations in the Bay Area. Attendees sampled drinks by SnowQueen Vodka and food from Armani Caffè.

 

On August 2, Oscar de la Renta presented his Resort 2009 Collection at an annual fashion show and luncheon benefiting the League to Save Lake Tahoe. Saks Fifth Avenue San Francisco sponsored the luxurious event hosted at the Fritz family home on the west shore.

Third Annual Dress for Success Gala

On Thursday, July 17, Dress for Success San Francisco celebrated its third year serving the local community with a gala fundraiser. This year’s event at the Bently Reserve featured local jazz legend Paula West along with fashion and design expert Nick Verreos from Project Runway’s second season. Guests sampled food from the city’s finest restaurants, wine from local vintners and both a live and silent auction.
On Wednesday, July 9, models walked the runway for Nordstrom’s Annual Designer Preview at the Herbst Pavilion. Guests enjoyed a sneak peek of fall collections by such fashion icons as Bill Blass, Burberry Prorsum, Stella McCartney, Michael Kors, Derek Lam, Donna Karan, Peter Som, Valentino, Vera Wang and Versace. Attendees sipped cocktails and sampled hors d’oeuvres while shopping for the night’s featured looks at a special on-site boutique. Ticket proceeds were donated to Raphael House, a San Francisco nonprofit for homeless families seeking help.

San Francisco Zoo Fur Ball 2008

On Saturday, June 28, young professionals gathered for the annual Fur Ball hosted by the San Francisco Zoo and Zoo II. VIP guests were treated to a private tour of the zoo, which entailed a behind-the-scenes visit with lions and new baby tiger cubs. The magical night also included cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music by Night Fever and an auction benefiting the zoo’s efforts.
