Girls writes a song dedicated to Lawrence, the frontman of 80s UK post punk act Felt. It's called "Lawrence," and is getting a limited-release of 1000 copies on red, heart-shaped vinyl. [via Pitchfork]

The city's Entertainment Commission, having just made it much easier for bars and cafes to host live music events, is practically begging said business owners to apply. The EC's director, Jocelyn Kane says she wants live music to be "everywhere." [via SF Weekly]
