Window Twins, a SF supergroup of sorts (it's comprised of Exray's Jon Bernson and Fresh & Onlys' Tim Cohen) released  a new album this week, called Wish, which has the easy breezy jam-session quality of Bob Dylan's Basement Tapes. Give it a listen on Bandcamp! [via Bandcamp]

The San Jose Rock Shopis opening a brand new retail space/venue in downtown San Jose that will be a breath of fresh air in the city's super small scene. To celebrate, they’ll be ringing in their new space with a full weekend of inaugural shows, running from October 19th-21st. [via The Bay Bridged]

Former Bay Area gay glitter rock band Hunx & His Punx leader Seth Bogart made good on his plans for a variety show and premiered a preview of the first installment of Hollywood Nailz, and it holds a lot of promise. It features appearances by King Tuff, King Kahn, Nobunny, and Shannon and the Clams; skits; hilarious fake ads; and a fake competition between bands. [via SF Weekly]
