Culatello King Comes to Incanto
Massimo Spigaroli, Italy’s king of culatello, will host a dinner at Incanto with chef Chris Cosentino featuring some of the very best porcine presentations. The dinner begins at 7 p.m. and tickets, including wine but not service, are $80. To reserve your seat, call 415-641-4500.
The Underground Farmers Market Returns
If you’re curious about what grows in your (or your neighbor’s) back yard, head to the Underground Farmers Market on January 28, where you can pick up locally foraged mushrooms, locally brewed kombucha and much, much more. The event will run from 5 to 11 p.m., but the location has yet to be announced. Check this site for details as they emerge.

Sunday Brunch at Pizzaiolo
Pizzaiolo and Chez Panisse chefs team up for this one-morning-only brunch this Sunday, January 31—feast on Pizzaiolo’s signature donuts as well as frittatas, rillettes, homemade jams and lots of great coffee, all while listening to live jazz. Proceeds benefit Sprouts Cooking Club, which provides scholarships to East Bay kids so they can learn how to cook. Tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for children and UC Berkeley students. Sustainable Fish Dinner at Hayes Street Grill
Slow Food San Francisco members can get in on this special dinner at Hayes Street Grill on February 4, centered around sustainable fish caught by local fishermen—the daily catch is likely to include sardines, squid, Dungeness crab, oysters and Half Moon Bay opah. The meal begins at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $48—Paul Johnson of Monterey Fish and Hayes Street owner Patricia Unterman will be joining guests at the table.
