Three Great Delivery Services to Help Lighten Your Holiday To-Do List

By

Christmas is in a week (ahh!), and with many folks running around to finish their shopping, wrap gifts, attend holiday parties, and get their work done so they can catch planes or hit the road, free time is in very short supply. Below are local places offering delivery of everything from great gifts to Champagne to your door so you can cross one more errand off your list, skip the lines, and have more hot toddy time!

Good Eggs

Whether you’re hosting folks for a holiday dinner and need some last-minute ingredients (oops, forgot to get the beef roast), or could use a cute gift basket to give to your mother-in-law, local grocer Good Eggs has a bunch of quality options on their virtual shelves (check out their special holiday shop). You can get your items delivered on Monday December 23rd (or pick them up for free). And here’s the best news: you can now order Tartine Bakery bread, with no lines! (Although you’ll have to wait until January 2nd to get your country loaf fix—in the meantime, here are some other great bready options!)

Lasso

Having some friends over for some holiday cheer and just realized you're all out of bourbon for your egg nog? What if I told you there’s a place that delivers booze, for free? Lasso is the first online service to provide on-demand, same-day delivery of spirits in SF. Sweet! You’ll get free delivery to your door within two hours of an order being placed. You can order all kinds of booze and bubbly too (hmmm, look at that magnum of Champagne Billecart-Salmon), plus they have some quality cheeses, charcuterie, crackers, gift sets, and even some party platters. Best of all, here’s a Lasso gift certificate for $20 off a minimum order of $50; just enter code 7X720 during checkout. (Good until 12/31/31. One use per person.)

Six Doors

Browsing through our city’s numerous boutiques can be a fun excursion, but when you’re short on time, it can feel like a chore. With the Six Doors app, you can shop a bunch of independent SF boutiques and get gifts delivered in SF the same day. From beautiful olive wood bowls to hip jewelry to cute presents for kids, you’ll find items in every category. There are also some curated collections on the homepage of the app (yours truly created one called “Gifts for the Stylish Gourmand”), plus there’s a concierge if you need help finding the right gift (guys, give em a call).  And check this out: Six Doors is offering free delivery until Christmas! Just download the app on your iPhone and you can start shopping (without circling for parking, how nice).
