12th Annual Lantern Peace Ceremony Berkeley's hosting its 12th Annual Lantern Peace Ceremony on Saturday evening. This Japanese-style event honors those impacted by the Hiroshima atomic bombing and encourages worldwide peace through the collective decoration of lanterns. There'll also be live Japanese bamboo flute music, inspirational talks by survivors and the mayor of Hiroshima, as well as a floating lantern display at the end of the ceremony.

13th Annual Art & Soul Festival Oakland's revered Art & Soul Festival makes its way back to town with a host of craft booths and musical entertainers to ripen the experience. Special guests include Lisa Loeb, John Murry, ConFunkShun and Leela James, among others. In addition, a world dance party will feature a broad array of urban dance performers to keep things shaking. Come out, come out, wherever you are!

Concert at the Cove: Battle of the BandsNo worries if you feel like you'll spread yourself thin with places to go this weekend. Alameda's Concert at the Cove: Battle of the Bands will be waiting for your return to fun on Friday.
