If you are looking to get out of the city and explore somewhere new, look no further than these North Bay to-dos.

Mount Tam Jam

The Mount Tam Jam festival will be the first to play at the historic Mountain Amphitheatre since 1967. Featuring artists like Cake and Galactic, not only will you be able to see sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay while enjoying the lineup, but all proceeds will go to funding resources needed by the Marin County State Parks. Plus, you’ll be able to sit in the 4,000 seat amphitheater as it celebrates its 100th anniversary, and its 85th anniversary as a state park! Sat. June 22, General admission tickets are $50 for adults and $25 for children and can be bought here; gates open at 10 a.m. and the festival is 12 – 7 p.m @ Mount Tam Mountain Amphitheater.

Skyfall Film Night in the Park

While we all know about Film Night in Dolores Park, if you’d like to catch a movie in an evening with much warmer temperatures and in a historic state park, head over to China Camp in San Rafael by sundown this Saturday. The free showing of Skyfall is one of the first installments this summer of Film Night in the Park movie showings throughout the North Bay and San Francisco.  Patrons are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the film. There are refreshments and popcorn sold there, but you’re welcome to bring your own snacks and booze! Can’t make it Saturday? Then check out more upcoming dates for the 2013 summer. Film begins at sundown June 22 and will be @ China Camp, San Rafael.

San Anselmo Art & Wine Festival

If you’re looking for your fill of art, music, and wine, head to downtown San Anselmo for their Art & Wine Festival. The festival features more than 200 artists, gourmet food, family activities for the kids and, of course, live entertainment throughout both days. Presented by the San Anselmo Chamber of Commerce, this free festival has art pieces such as sea glass jewelry and music ranging from swing Americana to Classic Rock. And, if the weather is really beautiful, we recommend you take the scenic ferry ride to Larkspur with your bike, and ride the remaining 4.5 miles on the Marin County Bicycle Route 20 to reach the event. Festival is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday @ downtown San Anselmo, from Bolinas Ave to Tamalpais Ave.
