Unsure of what to do this weekend? Try out these ideas.

Saturday, September 15: Rock Make Street Festival

For just a $3-5 donation, you'll get to experience some of the best talent the Bay has to offer–whether it's in the music, food truck, or artisan craft realms, you will go home satisfied. Across two stages, bands like John Vanderslice, Exray's, Burnt Ones, Yalls, The Mallard, and Permanent Collection will make it feel like a true blue block party. As for opportunities to stuff your face, the Kasa Indian truck, the Voodoo Van, and more will be on hand, as well as a few types of beer and wine. Head to 18th and Treat for all the action.

Saturday, September 15:Mouthwatering Mission: Cooking Class & Tasting Tour

Get ready for an epicurean adventure through the Mission, followed by a cooking class at La Cocina. Parties That Cook invites you to the city's most vibrant 'hood where the traditional and often lusty Latino and South American flavors are a part of a changing community of various backgrounds and cultures. Come with a bottle of water (to hydrate yourself as you eat) and a hefty appetite so you can enjoy all the tour stops: Wise Sons Deli, Mission Minis, El Farolito, and Humphry Slocombe. Finally, stop into La Palma Foods, where you'll see some of the ingredients you'll later learn to cook with. Get tickets before they sell out!

Sunday, September 16:Comedy Day at Golden Gate Park

For 32 straight years, Comedy Day at the park's Sharon Meadow has been the original free outdoor laugh fest everyone is welcome to experience. For five hours on one stage, forty-plus comedians will whoop it up with their best material to have you cracking up all afternoon. It starts at 12 noon and goes until 5 o'clock. Bring a picnic and your teenagers (the comedic material might not be suitable to younger children), and have a blast in the great outdoors!
