Tonight at Bottom of the Hill: Battlehooch

By

Tonight a rare collection of local break-throughs combine forces to celebrate Battlehooch’s album release party for their latest electro-prog compilation, Piecechow. A bunch of UCSC grads, these guys have gained underground respect and fame from musicians and freak-noise fans alike. At the show, expect rampant spandex outfits, unpredictable stage antics and staggering genius musicianship. They’ve street busked, they’ve gained a huge following and now they’re taking it on the road for their Piecechow tour.

Also on tap tonight are UC Berkeley alums Tempo No Tempo. They've emerged with a brand new song “Medicines” that clears up their sound, but also enters them more into the eclectic, funkier realm of their colleagues in Maus Haus. To be expected here – ecstatic drum lines (read: complete dance party), pulsating bass lines and vocals that make you want to scream for more.

So if you’re in for the absurdity, come support some local artists at Bottom of the Hill! Doors are at 9pm. $8/advance, $10/door. See you there!
