Underground Art Royalty Gracing SF

Thursday, May 7, Portland-based artist Damon Soule opens his new solo show, Same Loud No, of paintings and an installation at Fecal Face Dot Gallery in Hayes Valley. Soule hasn't shown in SF since 2006, but had a hit show at Joshua Liner Gallery in NYC last year. The opening reception goes from 6-9 pm. Fecal Face Dot Gallery 66 Gough Street @Market
While you're over in Hayes Valley, stop by Oxenrose Salon for the opening of Tahiti Pehrson's show Scala Naturae or "Nature's Ladders" starting at 7:30 pm. Pehrson's ridiculously intricate latticeworks are a sight to behold. The Moore Brothers will be doing a special performance at 8pm, and there will be a limited number of handmade, screened t-shirts from Pehrsons own paper cuts for sale (a bargain at $12). There are four designs and each design will be an edition of between one and six, so get in there if the fancy strikes you. Oxenrose Salon, 448 Grove Streeet
