Photos: rePack, Winner of Kim Crawford's Undo Ordinary Design Contest 2012

On October 24, 7x7 and Kim Crawford staged a special private event at Project One Gallery honoring David Miller-Hershon and his company rePACK: winner of our inaugural design competition: Undo Ordinary, the search for San Francisco's next design superstar.

The exclusive guest list included rePACK fans who mingled with members of San Francisco's design community in the city's Design District.

Guests enjoyed generous pours of Kim Crawford pinot noir and sauvignon blanc, as well as the evening's signature wine cocktail, the "Kim In The Swim," a refreshing libation made with sauvignon blanc, vodka, watermelon juice, and more (find out how to make the "Kim In The Swim" via YouTube.)

Kim Crawford also curated a special tasting menu with Chez Michelle Catering that paired perfectly with their wines and cocktail, which guests enjoyed while grooving to the soundscape by DJ The Tourist.

rePACK captured the hearts and votes of 7x7's desginarati with its of-the-moment mission: to create unique products using repurposed materials and the highest quality local craftsmanship—in this case, colorful and durable automotive upholstery. The company is founded upon three principles: use locally sourced, recycled materials, hand make products to the highest of standards, and guarantee the products will last a lifetime.

David's singular vision is entirely in keeping with Kim Crawford's—and indeed, contemporary design's—message to Undo Ordinary.

And don't forget to bring Kim Crawford Wines to your next event—and make sure to Undo Ordinary.
