Shop Your Neighborhood: An Excuse for Weekend Shopping Sprees

Everywhere you turn in San Francisco, there are shops and restaurants you'll never find anywhere else: Cliff's Variety, Paxton Gate, Mr. S Leather...even the hippie stores on Haight Street. This Saturday, May 21, you won't need an excuse to go hit up your favorite spots around the city. In honor of Wells Fargo's Small Business Week, the Shop Your Neighborhood event is taking over SF's best and most quirky stores and restaurants with sales, discounts, and free stuff galore.

Ike's Place Voted As The Bay Area's Favorite Small Business

You'll be hard-pressed to find a San Franciscan who doesn't enjoy an Ike's sandwich. Last year, they secured a spot on 7x7's Big Eat, and now they've garnered the distinction of The Bay Area's Favorite Small Business. That's right! You've voted those sandwiches right up to the top. Ike's Place was unveiled as the winner of our Favorite Small Business poll on Monday at the opening night of SF Small Business Week at the Metreon.

Franc & Blanc: Wine Country's Party of the Summer

Chateau Montelena helped put Napa on the map back in 70s. And this June 25th, they're throwing what's being billed as the Valley's party of the summer with Franc & Blanca chance to indulge in the Chateaus's delicious wines (made famous by the movie Bottle Shock). Come up to mingle with winemakers Bo Barrett (played by Chris Pine in the film), Cam Parry and Matt Crafton for an up-close and personal glimpse at the way a hot-ticket vineyard like this one operates.

And there's a lot more to do that just drink wine. Look forward to tons of music, food, a photo booth, wine classes, barrel tastings, games and prizes.
