You’ve splashed around all summer – but water, schmater. When you’re thirsting for drier digs, nothing beats a Fall getaway to Sedona, Arizona. Get ready for convertible-worthy temps, jaw-dropping scenery, and that inimitable new-agey vibe.
There's nothing more whine-worthy than cleaning your abode. Well, put a cork in it: Bay Area-based recycle artist Sally Stokes has found the perfect pairing to ease our dirt trackin' woes. She's turned her full-bodied wine cork collection into stylish doormats.
Hand-made from 284 corks, these durable greeters are solidly laced together in a basket weave-style, allowing debris to easily fall between the holes. Admittedly obsessed with collecting corks everywhere she goes from restaurants to wine tasting sojourns to worldly travels, Stokes' crafts the doormats from her overflowing assemblage.
While you want your wedding day to last forever – your bridal bouquet has more short-lived plans. So why not toss the dead-in-a-day posies for buds that won’t kick the bucket?
To-die-for pastries, local farm-fresh produce, artisanal cheeses, intoxicating aromas. The San Francisco Ferry Building is no doubt a gastro good time. But for design-lovers, its non-consumables are just as crave-worthy.
