Coconut Water Cocktail Recipes for "Hydrated" Drinking

When cocktails get "healthy," mixologists usually turn to ingredients like pomegranate juice, acai berries or agave nectar. But the newest kid on the healthy cocktail block is coconut water. This miracle juice is nonfat, low in calories and loaded with enough electrolytes and potassium to stave off a nasty hangover.

Outdoor Dining: The Unexpected Hit List

Hot days and warm nights are finally here! Now where to eat outside? Sure, you know Foreign Cinema and pretty much any restaurant at the Ferry Building (from Slanted Door to Gott's). You've probably hung out drinking pisco sours on the patio at La Mar, had a bowl of mussels along Belden Place or done your share of carbo canoodling at Sociale. But when you're racking your brain for somewhere else, somewhere less expected, return to this list.

Liquor.com's Guide to the Best Hotel Bars

You would think that the best hotel bars would be found in sleek, modern resorts or boutique hotels, but it turns out that many of the most noteworthy drinking spots can be found in the country's most historic establishments. Liquor.com has put together a guide to the best watering holes to be found in historic hotels, featuring San Francisco's own Harry Denton's Starlight Room in the Sir Francis Drake Hotel.

Arcade Fire Announces 2nd Greek Theatre Show

That little band called Arcade Fire just added a second date at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley on October 3rd, which means redemption for anyone without an American Express card or fast enough clicking fingers to get in on their sold-out-in-one-minute Big Sur show. Hallelujah!

Bay Area Power Couples: La Ciccia's Massimiliano Conti & Lorella Degan

It's hard to start a business in the Bay Area. And even harder to make it successful. We're inspired by the couples who have done it together and have decided to highlight them every week in our new "Bay Area Power Couples" blog series. Check back on Fridays for Q&A's with the couples who run some of our favorite local businesses.

Radiohead Album Artist Stanley Donwood's First-Ever U.S. Show @ Fifty24SF

So you love Radiohead, right? No doubt you can picture each of their album covers in your mind as soon as they're named. But who created these iconic images, from Amnesiac's old red book to Pablo Honey's super 90's flower-baby collage? Stanley Donwood is the man behind the art, and he's having his first-ever U.S. art show, entitled "Over Normal" in our very own San Francisco at Fifty24SF Gallery on September 2nd.

Bay Area Musicians Show Their Art @ Fivepoints Arthouse Tomorrow

Many of music's brightest minds met in art school, from members of the Talking Heads to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. So putting on an group art show, like Sound and Vision at the Fivepoints Arthouse, makes perfect sense. Sound and Vision is a gathering of Bay Area musicians who also dip their talents into visual art. It opens tomorrow night at 7 pm.

The Bay Bridged's Rock Make Street Festival Takes Over 18th & Treat Street This Sunday

This weekend is gonna be action packed. After eating yourself silly at the SF Street Food Festival, head to the 3rd Annual Rock Make Street Festival for a good time before getting back to the grind. From 11 am-6 pm at Treat Street and 18th, the Bay Bridged's bigger-than-ever street fest is an all-ages bonanza with food, over 100 arts and crafts vendors, and three stages live music. There will also be a beer garden for those over 21.

The Medicine Agency Exhibits Matt Mignanelli's Eye-Popping Paintings Tomorrow

The Medicine Agency's walls will soon be awash in eye-blinding colors straight out of a video game, thanks to New York-based artist Matt Mignanelli. Focusing on shapes and structural elements (like bright blue globs of ooze or gold brick walls straight out of a Mario Bros. landscape), Mignanelli paints on canvas and birch wood to create his nationally-known pieces.

Rusty Wells' Urban Flow and Donation-Based Yoga Studios

The hottest trend in yoga? Not paying if you don't want to. Donation-based yoga's been around for a while (check out this April article in the New York Times on the trend) and has swept many Bay Area studios with its come-one-come-all mentality.

Rusty Wells, local yoga-master (he's got a cultish following) and recent Wanderlust Festival instructor, just released the first of a video series explaining the ethos behind his donation-based Urban Flow Yoga studio.
