For baseball fans, Opening Day is like a national holiday. It's a day that represents the end of winter and beginning of spring, when the sun shines, cold beer flows, and fans hope that this is the year for their team to win it all. On Friday, Giants fans get their Opening Day against the Pittsburg Pirates.
Fellas, fellas, fellas…You've probably just spent four days holed up in a bar or glued to the couch in March Madness heaven. You no doubt loved every second of it and are already fired up for the Sweet 16 on Thursday. Like an addict, you are hooked. Making matters worse, your girlfriend, fiancée, or wife is starting to feel neglected. She is fed up with buddies, booze, and basketball being your priorities.
Big sporting events and drinking go hand in hand. Thursday through Sunday, sports fans (die-hard and casual, alumni), boosters and bandwagoners alike will flock to watering holes en masse across the Bay Area to participate in the madness that is March. All of this excitement begs a very important question: Where to watch your alma mater, your favorite underdog, your office bracket pool picks, or where to go to join in on the fun even if you don’t know what The Bubble is or if you think The Committee is a political term?
