Sadly, things got pretty shaky up in Napa on August 24. We've all seen the pictures of ruined buildings, toppled barrels at wineries, and businesses with broken glass. But now we need to see the pictures of how cleaned-up downtown Napa is looking, with over 90 percent of businesses back open—it has been an amazing recovery.
No hard liquor license? Most places just default to pouring wine and beer. But there are new kinds of low-proof cocktails being concocted at restaurants around the city, and we’re not talking saketinis, people—these are complex drinks using sherries, vermouths, agave wine, beer, or house-infused sakes to great effect.
Now, this isn’t the most glamorous topic, but for some of us, there comes a time when you'll have a visit to the dentist that’s going to knock you out of dining commission for a while (nooooo!). Or maybe you have a friend who just had gum surgery (ow ow ow) and you want to be a pal and style them with a tasty delivery.
