California College of the Arts recently held its annual fashion show, showcasing eight exquisite collections created by CCA’s senior Fashion Design students.
The term-ending event, juried by a team of industry professionals, featured a variety of cutting-edge creations worn by runway models. 7x7 presented its Emerging Talent award to Tisina Parker, who is the granddaughter of CCA Honorary Doctorate recipient Julia Florence Parker, one of the country's preeminent basketmakers. Tisina's stunning collection was inspired by Native American textile traditions and aesthetics.
The 3rd Annual ArtPadSF kicked off with an exclusive opening party at the Phoenix Hotel, as over 40 hotel rooms were transformed into art galleries and taken over by curatorial projects. ArtPadSF benefitted the SFMOMA SECA Art Award, which has honored more than 70 Bay Area artists. The night’s festivities included:

UM San Francisco invited members of the media and tech communities to support and celebrate the growth of entrepreneurship in the Bay Area by hosting a fundraising event for the annual UC Berkeley Startup Competition (Bplan) at the Walter A. Haas School of Business. The program provides entrepreneurs with the best possible resources, including education, networking, team creation, mentorship and venture financing.

This year’s grand finale to BritWeek 2013 is honoring the popular PBS series, Downton Abbey, with a 1920s-inspired evening, including a three-course dinner, champagne, cocktails, and of course, dancing.
