Espetus Churrascaria—the acclaimed purveyor of Brazilian cuisine with two Bay Area restaurants—celebrated a milestone with a week of programs that paid tribute to their loyal patrons. One evening brought event partner Leblon Cachaça to the San Francisco location for a lively Caipirinha Workshop.
7x7 and Cointreau proudly presented a special happy-hour fundraiser at Lookout in the Castro, in support of local filmmakers Robert Cortlandt and Dan Goldes of Urbanstreet Films and their new documentary, 5 Blocks, which examines the changes taking shape in San Francisco's Mid-Market neighborhood.
A few weeks back, 7x7 asked you to vote for your favorite place to enjoy a cold summertime Trumer Pils in San Francisco. The grand prize —which included a private tour of Trumer Brauerei Berkeley, followed by a private dinner prepared by Oakland's Tribune Tavern—was claimed by lucky devil Peter Norman!
We welcomed this year's Hot 20—our editors' roundup of San Francisco's most promising and prominent innovators in food, sports, the arts, science, technology, design, business, nonprofits, and more—with an exclusive celebration at the city's newest hotspot, Hotel Zetta nearby Union Square.
7x7 is once again a proud sponsor of Litquake (starting today and ongoing through next week), and we are especially jazzed about our own program during the big closing-night event, Lit Crawl! Please join us at Elbo Room on Saturday, Oct. 19th for "Tales of the San Francisco Cacophony Society," which promises to be a revelatory collection of stories from one of the city's leading proponents of keeping San Francisco weird.
The SF SPCA, one of the city's most beloved nonprofits celebrated a milestone with two very warm days of celebrations for young and old, furry and fuzzy, winged and flat-footed—including a lively Friday evening cocktail reception, and a Saturday street carnival complete with a much-anticipated pet costume contest and a surprise announcement. Both days also featured a very successful adoption cycle, with many rescues finding loving, qualified homes.
