On November 16, the adorable Heroine boutique for ladies, moms and babies celebrated a milestone event in Noe Valley with a cozy reception and generous discounts.
Guests found luxurious modern and vintage-inspired pieces in the Victorian boutique at 15% to 40% off while enjoying complimentary wine and sweets. Every month, Heroine donates a portion of their profits to a worthy charity—November's beneficiary is the Red Cross, supporting victims of Hurricane Sandy.
On November 15, UCSF Medical Center CEO Mark Laret joined UCSF Partners in Care for their first signature fundraiser. Event Co-Chairs Lisa Gruber and Bailey Locke—with the support from their committee comprised of UCSF Partners in Care members—coordinated Cirque du Soiree.
Guests enjoyed circus-like décor, trapeze artists contorting and flying mid-air, high-wire cocktails, lion-size appetizers and danced the night away to music by DJ Franco “Freestyle” Finn, all under the big top at Robert Fountain Studio, RF80.

On November 10, San Francisco's most vibrant young philanthropists gathered at the gorgeous Fairmont Hotel for the highly-anticipated annual fundraising event, the San Francisco Social.
This year's event benefitted Larkin Street Youth Services—an internationally recognized leader in providing effective housing, medical, social and educational services to at-risk, homeless and runaway youth. The event committee raised more than $75,000, exceeding goals and delighting a sold-out crowd.
On November 7th, Crossroads Trading hosted their much-loved annual pop-up shop at the Hotel Monaco in Union Square. On November 7th, Karlsson's Vodka presented its recently launched Batch 2009—a limited edition vodka made solely from the 2009 harvest of the Solist potato from the Cape Bjäre region of southern Sweden.
San Francisco's 54 Mint hosted the lively event, where guests sampled the vintage vodka, sipped speciality Karlsson's Gold Vodka libations, and enjoyed tasty hors d'oeuvres prepared by 54 Mint's celebrated kitchen.
A limited edition vodka with terroir, Karlsson’s Batch 2009 is Karlsson’s second commercially available vintage vodka. The handcrafted vodka is now available for purchase at fine restaurants and retailers in San Francisco, including Cask in SoMa.
