Scenes of the City: Sunday Streets on the Great Highway

For this week's Scenes of the City we took a bicycle ride on the Sunday Streets route through Golden Gate Park and turned south to follow the Great Highway to Sloat Ave where the event terminated. The day was full of lots kids running around, fun music, dancing in the street and even a bit of sunshine.

The Dolores Park Cafe hosted a Latte Art competition last night, drawing in competitors from as far away as Los Angeles. From swans to indecipherable scribbles, the contest was quite the spectacle. Check out the photos.

Scenes of the City: 4th of July Celebrations at Fisherman's Wharf

For this week's Scenes of the City we hung out at Fisherman's Wharf capturing the festivities of our nations birthday. The weather cooperated and everyone was out in droves.

Yoda, a Two Pound Chihuahua, Crowned The World's Ugliest Dog

They say beauty's on the inside. That's never been more true than at the 23rd annual World's Ugliest Dog Contest, which took place last night at the Sonoma-Marin County Fair in Petaluma. 29 dogs, mostly from Northern California, competed for the distinction.

But the winner last night was Yoda, a two-pound Chinese crested-Chihuahua cross, whose owners originally thought she was a rat. Yoda won $1,000 and the 2011 crown as the World's Ugliest Dog.
