Look of the Week: 2013 Beauty Resolutions

This year, make beauty resolution for a more fabulous you in 2013. Here are seven easy resolutions with fuss-free products to help make them last.

Seven Favorite Things: NYE Entertaining Essentials from Zinc Details

If you're hosting NYE this year (or need a gift for someone who is), we recommend stopping by Zinc Details for some last-minute life savers. The Lower Pacific Heights boutique is full of modern, conversation-starting pieces that are sure to help you drink and celebrate your way into 2013.

We'll cheers to that!

Look of the Week: All That Glitters

If there's one thing you can count on, it's New Year's Eve being one big sparklefest. Show your celebratory style with a pair of festive pumps and step out into the new year with a bit of glitz and glamour.

Street Style Report: A Style-Savvy Accountant in Union Square

We spotted the perfectly layered Ellie Choi, on her recent visit to SF.

Ellie works as an accountant in Chicago, and when she's not busy crunching numbers, she indulges in food and fashion. We love how she mixed textures and colors for this wintery concoction.

Seven Favorite Things: Locally-Made Holiday Cards from Hello! Lucky

There's no time like the holidays to really go the extra mile. Sure, the gift is important, but the card is where you can really get sentimental (or just be an endearing smart-ass). Top off each of your well-wrapped gifts with a lovely little note from Hello! Lucky.

The local team of artisan letterpressers really know how to kick up the kitsch when it comes to Christmas cards. Take a peek at our favorites and stop by their SoMa digs (977 Howard at 6th) or a local retailer to pick some up.

Look of the Week: Our Favorite Reusable Shopping Bags

Whether you love or hate the new law, paying 10-cents for a shopping bag is now part of life in San Francisco.

The smart solution? Invest in a few awesome reusable bags that work for your lifestyle. From sturdy wool & recycled sailcloth carryalls (#3) to insulated, lightweight and packable grocery totes (#1), here are a few of our favorites.

Street Style Report: The Bagpiper in Union Square

If you've been holiday shopping near Union Square these past few weekends, you may have seen bagpiper Jim McElroy playing a mix of holiday carols and traditional Scottish music. He draws crowds with both his music and his presence -- his head-to-toe Scottish look is a sight to see, with every button and fold in perfect place.

Seven Favorite Things: Men's Outwear from Maas & Stacks

Baby, it's cold outside. It's time to treat yourself -- or a loved one -- to a sleek new winter coat. Our suggestion? You can't go wrong with the winter wool, leather and cashmere collection at Maas & Stacks

Look of the Week: Home Decor Gifts from Local Boutiques

Look of the Week

And now, a little something for all of the aspiring chefs, interior decorators, gardeners and crafters in your life. Show them some holiday love with these fun finds from local boutiques.

Street Style Report: A German Tourist in Union Square

Street Style Report

This week, we headed to Union Square, thinking we'd find stylish holiday shoppers, or perhaps a festive ice skater. Instead we ended up spotting Tobi Becker, a young tourist visiting from Frankfurt. Leave it to Europeans to travel in style. We love the quilting on his leather jacket, and how his look flows from black to brown.
