Wedding Inspiration: A Black-Tie Bash in the Heart of San Francisco

By

When planning for their big day, Allison Pascal and Mark Javitch wanted the city they loved most to be a star of their affair, and Alexandra's Room at Union Square's Westin St. Francis had just the right amount of ravishing ambience.

The couple, who met at a Purim party back in 2013 shortly after Javitch had moved to the city from Omaha, Nebraska, got engaged on Valentine's Day in a hotel suite at the Beverly Wilshire. Perhaps that fancy locale set the tone for what was to come: For their wedding, the lovebirds went all out.

Ultra-romantic decor—chandeliers, lots of textures, muted florals, and gold accents—felt dreamy amid the color palette of feminine pearl and blush. The wedding party stepped out in dapper tuxedos and flowing floor length gowns as dark as night. Amid the black-tie cast a solitary pop of color peeped out from the bride's feet—you may recognize her Carrie Bradshaw–approved crystal-adorned sapphire satin Manolos.

But the celebration wasn't all formalities: Their tuxedoed pup made an appearance at the ceremony and in family portraits; the groom comically collapsed at first look; and the newlyweds were caught kissing in the elevator. Sounds like a successful party, indeed!
