Wedding Inspiration: An Opulent Rager at the Historic Bently Reserve

By

Had you spotted Sophia Kazimi and Aremon Habibi walking hand in hand through the streets of San Francisco's Financial District on their wedding day, all decked out and she wrapped in fur, you might have thought they were a celebrity couple.

And while not famous, you could be forgiven for the mistake: This pair did their nuptials in luxurious, cinematic style.

Kazimi and her tribe of bridesmaids got ready at Battery Street's Le Méridien Hotel in a room with sweeping views of downtown. A couple of floors down, the groom was exchanging gifts and toasts with his buddies.

Once she was fastened into her sparkling gown and silk Louboutins, the bride joined her groom made for first looks downstairs, and then out to Sacramento Street for photo ops among the neighborhood's iconic architecture.

Their venue, the opulent Bentley Reserve, was just steps away. With its soaring ceilings, marble floors, intricate columns, and glittering chandeliers, the Beaux-Arts building—both a San Francisco and a national historic landmark—would have befitted a royal wedding. It was here, beneath cascading ivory curtains and eucalyptus garlands speckled with white roses, that the lovebirds said, "I do."

At the reception, colorful roses and peonies adorned the tables alongside metallic accents—gilded chairs, vases, candle holders, and silverware paired with silver napkins and tablecloths. The same crimson, blush, and ivory blooms made their way onto their four-layer cake. At their sweetheart table, the newlyweds cried and laughed their way through speeches, and then partied like rockstars as a saxophonist serenaded them on the dance floor and a torrent of confetti came raining down—quite the way to ring in married life!
