Wedding Inspiration: Boba teas and hot dogs were part of the fun at this Treasure Island bash

By

It was an elegant affair with nods to the couple's college days.

Marilyn Tan and Andy Huang wanted a celebration that would be both classy and also remain true to their roots. And so they planned for plenty urban glamour—the wedding party got ready at San Francisco's crystal-clad Palace Hotel, where the couple also snuck a martini at the bar—before making their way across the Bay Bridge to the ceremony on Treasure Island.

The Arecely Cafe, once an elementary school, checked the box for a wholly unique venue, where the courtyard brimmed with succulents and blooming bougainvillea with string lights overhead. Boughs of fresh eucalyptus accented the white chairs and tables at the reception, which was dressed in rich, plum-hued linens to match the bridesmaids' frocks.

Not to outshine the happy couple, but eats from Berkeley's beloved Top Dog (Tan is a Cal alum) and milk teas from Boba Guys were a very yummy surprise.
